JD Vance signals developments in Ukraine war: “We have some interesting things to report on”
The United States is optimistic and believes it can put an end to the "very brutal war" between Russia and Ukraine, US Vice President JD Vance said on Friday 18 April. Source: Reuters, citing Vance before a bilateral meeting with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in Rome on Friday, as reported by European Pravda Details: Vance and Meloni are meeting less than 24 hours after the leaders of Italy and the United States met in Washington.

"Since there are the negotiations I won't prejudge them, but we do feel optimistic that we can hopefully bring this war, this very brutal war, to a close," the US vice president added.
His comments came just hours after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio had stated that President Donald Trump would abandon efforts to broker a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine unless there were clear signs of progress.
