Russia launches 78 drones at Ukraine overnight, affecting four of Ukraine's oblasts

Russia launched 78 attack UAVs and decoy drones of various types at Ukraine on the night of 3-4 April. Ukrainian air defence shot down 42 of them, while 22 drones failed to reach their targets and disappeared from radar. As a result, four oblasts of Ukraine were affected by the attack.

Source: Ukrainian Air Force on social media Details: Starting at 21:30 on 3 April, the Russians launched 78 Shahed attack UAVs and various types of decoy drones from the Russian cities of Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk.

As of 08:30 on 4 April, 42 Shahed drones and other types of attack UAVs were confirmed to have been shot down in Ukraine's north, east and centre. Twenty-two decoy drones disappeared from radar (without adverse effects).

The Russian attack affected Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia oblasts.

The air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups from the Ukrainian defence forces.
