Russian troops strike Kryvyi Rih: 14 killed, over 50 injured – photos

Russian troops have launched a ballistic missile strike on a residential area in the city of Kryvyi Rih on the evening of 4 April, killing 14 people and injuring more than 50. Lysak confirmed that 12 people had been killed, including 2 children. Fires broke out in the city. Several apartment buildings have been damaged.

Update: As of 20:00, 14 people have been confirmed killed as a result of the strike. The number of casualties continues to rise. Vilkul reported that five children had been killed.

A children's playground was located near the scene of the strike. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has commented on the attack, saying that six children had been killed. Quote from Zelenskyy: "A Russian missile struck an ordinary city, directly hitting a street in an area with residential buildings.

Preliminary reports suggest it was a ballistic missile strike. As of now, 14 fatalities have been confirmed, including six children. My condolences to their families and loved ones.

The rescue operation is ongoing, at least five residential buildings have been damaged."

Early reports indicate that over 30 people were taken to hospital, Lysak stated at 20:46. Many of these people are in surgery. Among those injured are children.

The youngest is three months old. The boy sustained lacerations. He received medical assistance and will recover at home.
