Zelenskyy instructs his team to step up air defence talks, urges partners to boost production

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has instructed Ukraine's defence and foreign ministers to intensify contacts with international partners on air defence and called on the US and Europe to increase the production of air defence systems and missiles. A Ramstein-format meeting is being prepared. There are two main priorities right now - air defence, specifically Patriots, and second - personnel contingents, bringing all decisions and details as close to realisation as possible.

Details: Zelenskyy also called on Ukraine's partners to "urgently accelerate" the implementation of already agreed air defence commitments that have not yet been delivered.

Europe and the United States should also significantly increase the production of both air defence systems and missiles. We in Ukraine can host such production and need the appropriate political decisions - localising production, providing relevant licences - this would benefit not only us, but all partners who want security rather than war. We've discussed this with everyone already, and we understand this is entirely feasible.
