Recall, on September 7, it was reported that the Ukrainian military shot down a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft in the Kharkiv Region. The soldiers of Ukraine's Defense Forces used portable anti-aircraft missile systems to neutralize Russian attack aircraft flying at low altitudes.

Su-25SM is a modernized version of the Russian Su-25 attack aircraft. The Su-25 was modernized due to the demands of increasing combat capabilities.

Thus, in a new modification, an airborne radar station was used and the armament composition was expanded. New modes of combat use are implemented, which allow the use of guided air-surface missiles from horizontal flight by using accurate software-corrected tracking of the target.

Su-25SM is able to strike two targets in one attack, and the use of navigation bombing at night and in difficult weather conditions is a standard combat task for it, unlike the “regular” Su-25.
