Moscow, Rostov, and Kursk attacked by unidentified drones

Baza reported on this. The "Carpet" regime was announced at Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports in the capital, and planes were rerouted to Sheremetyevo airport. Mash later clarified that dozens of flights were delayed for departure and landing.

One part of the planes were circling in the sky, while the other part headed for Sheremetyevo airport.

More than an hour later, Moscow Mayor Sobyanin said that the drones were moving toward the city from the south, alleging that the drones were hit by air defense systems. The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the attack, adding that the unmanned aircraft systems were struck by electronic warfare over the territory of the Stupinsky district of the Moscow region. "The air defense forces on duty detected a UAV flying in the direction of Moscow over the territory of the Stupinsky district of the Moscow region.

The electronic warfare suppressed the UAV and, having lost control, it crashed in a deserted area. No casualties or damage have been reported," the Russian Defense Ministry stated.

In addition, other Russian regions, including Rostov and Kursk regions, were also attacked. Vasily Golubev, governor of the Rostov region of the Russian Federation, claimed that on the night of August 20, the electronic warfare troops stopped a kamikaze drone attack on the city.

At the same time, drones allegedly suppressed by electronic warfare fell on the territory of a military unit in Kamensk, and another one - one kilometer from Novoshakhtinsk.

Roman Starovoit, governor of the Kursk region, said that a Ukrainian drone attacked the Kursk railway station, after which the roof of the building was on fire. He said that five people were injured in the explosion.

Militarnyi previously reported that on the night of Friday, August 18, a drone attacked the capital of the aggressor country.
