Ukraine works on plan for Crimea's economic development after liberation – PM Shmyhal

The government is working on an economic model for the development of Crimea within the framework of the Strategy for the recovery of the peninsula after its liberation. Source: Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal The Prime Minister says that the model consists of five key points.

Thanks to this, Crimea will become a net exporter of energy resources.

The fourth is the development of the agricultural sector. The government is preparing a project to restore the Kakhovka HPP for irrigation in Ukraine's south.

"We will bet on small farms, we will scale the YeRobota ("There is a job") program to support viticulture in Crimea," Shmyhal added. The fifth is the creation of a European and world-class IT hub on the peninsula. Special regime for attracting investments in science, education and innovation.

The Prime Minister emphasised that Crimea should become the Ukrainian Silicon Valley.
