The German government's website says it has sent 10 Leopard 1A5 main battle tanks to Ukraine. The new batch of tanks adds to the 10 previously shipped to Ukraine. The new aid package includes additional TRML-4D air surveillance radars.

The TRML-4D is the latest version of the TRML family of medium-range C-band radars developed by Hensoldt in 2018. This radar is the main means of detecting air targets in the battery of the IRIS-T SLM air defense systems. The mobile radar uses an active electronically scanned array (AESA) based on solid-state gallium nitride (GaN) elements.

The TRML-4D radar allows for the detection, tracking, and identification of various types of air targets, including small-size, high-speed, low-flying, and/or maneuvering cruise missiles. According to the developer, the radar ensures the rapid detection and tracking of about 1,500 targets in a radius of up to 250 km with a maximum detection height of 30 km.

Germany also provided Ukraine with 16 Vector reconnaissance drones, bringing the total to 104, four 8x8 HX81 truck tractor trains and four semi-trailers, more than 13 million rounds of ammunition for fire arms, and a field hospital. Vector is a vertical takeoff reconnaissance UAV with a fixed wing developed by the German company Quantum Systems.

The UAV does not require a launch catapult or runway.

The unmanned aerial vehicle comes in an 8.2 kg carrying bag that can be carried by one person.

It takes only two minutes to set up the UAV for flight.
