There are reports that the fire occurred at a Russian military unit on Kalinin Street.

The published video captured a thick black column of smoke rising into the sky from the territory of the Russian invaders' military facility and the sounds of a powerful fire. It is likely that a building was on fire.

Despite the reports of local residents about explosions preceding the fire, the Russian occupation authorities claim that it was a common household fire. Oleg Kryuchkov, adviser to the head of the occupation authorities of Crimea, said that a common household fire had allegedly started in the military unit.
