Russian dictator Vladimir Putin claimed at a summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Uzbekistan that the Russian army is gradually capturing “more and more territories” despite the Ukrainian counter-offensive. He added that only a part of the Russian army is engaged in the war. Russia’s initial war aim was to “de-Nazify” and “demilitarize” Ukraine – propaganda terms that imply stripping Ukraine of its sovereignty.
