The news was made public by Roman Donik. The volunteers have delivered 21 sets of on-board electronic warfare systems to one of the assault units. The kits installed on the equipment will create a small "dome" of electronic interference, which should cut off communication between the operator and the drone during the final part of the flight.

"In today's realities, protecting the armored vehicles of assault units from enemy FPV drones is very important. Cheap drones can disrupt a well-planned operation and put modern equipment out of action," the volunteer says.

The threat of massive attacks by DIY-made FPV drones is only gaining momentum and already poses a serious threat.

They are actively used by the military on both sides of the front line.

Development of "tank EW"

At the end of July, Militarnyi reported that Ukrainian volunteers were testing jamming equipment installed on armored vehicles on the front lines. The prototype equipment has already passed the first tests by combat and showed certain results, protecting the retrofitted tank from enemy attacks.

Russian engineers are also developing similar models of mounted modules for vehicles. In September, it became known that field tests of the Volnorez anti-drone jamming station had begun.

For the first time, this anti-drone jamming station was introduced in August of this year at the Russian military forum Army-2023.

Later, the same station was showcased by propaganda media as part of a new modernization package for T-80BVM tanks as standard equipment.

The manufacturers claim that the system is capable of effectively suppressing drone communications at a distance of up to 1,000 meters, thereby neutralizing their threat.
