The Lithuanian Ministry of National Defense reported about this on its social media. On September 20, Militarnyi reported that the repair of Ukrainian German-made tanks was announced in one of the Lithuanian military aid packages. In addition, the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence recalled the maintenance of Ukrainian PzH2000s in the country.

As previously reported, Lithuania made a commitment to repair Ukrainian PzH2000s in September 2022.

It is known that self-propelled howitzers are being repaired at the Lithuania Defense Services enterprise. The system for the repair and maintenance of military equipment was created by the German companies Rheinmetall and Krauss-Maffei Wegmann.

The enterprise is capable of servicing Boxer and PUMA armored vehicles, Bergepanzer armored repair and evacuation vehicles, various versions of Leopard-2 tanks, and 155-mm Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled howitzers. Most likely, Ukrainian Leopard tanks will also be repaired at Lithuania Defense Services.

It is noted that the maintenance and repair of Ukrainian German-made armored vehicles positively contributes to maintaining the readiness of personnel and ensuring constant verification of logistics chains.

The Lithuanian Ministry of National Defense emphasized that the primary aim is to support Ukraine.

In addition to Lithuania, Poland is also repairing Ukrainian Leopard tanks.

In early October, it was reported that Ukraine had received the first Leopard 2A4 tanks that had been repaired at the facilities of the Polish company Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa.
