Ukraine equips 25 demining teams with support from Come Back Alive Foundation

Photo credits: Come Back Alive Foundation Twenty-five engineering and demining teams of the Ukrainian Support Forces Command at once received pickup trucks and mine clearance equipment from the Come Back Alive Foundation.

The Come Back Alive Foundation announced this on its social media on Friday, November 3, 2023. The Foundation transferred trucks within the "We Live Here" project, which is implemented together with Kyivstar. The cost of this aid is UAH 33,504,563.88.

"And this is the best investment in the future of each of us, because it means safe cities, villages, waterbodies, as well as the ability of sappers to make passages for infantry, which liberates Ukrainian land meter by meter along the entire front line," the Come Back Alive Foundation said. The Foundation stated that in total, the project "We Live Here" has already transferred vehicles and equipment to 76 sapper teams in 9 brigades, regiments, centers, and separate battalions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine worth more than UAH 105 million.

The Foundation plans to provide such kits to 70 more mobile engineer teams.

Everything needed in the framework of the project is purchased due to donations from active citizens and responsible businesses. Usually, each such kit includes:

  • pickup truck;
  • Autel EVO Nano+ quadcopter;
  • tablet with a protective case and memory card;
  • 3 Motorola radios;
  • 3 personal and group mine clearance kits;
  • 3 tactical sappers kits;
  • group mine clearance kit;
  • metal detector;
  • blasting unit with a charger, ohmmeter, probes, 2 coils of wire.

The Foundation also handed over seven modular explosive protective suits to Ukrainian soldiers.

The "We Live Here" project was launched in May 2023.

Together with Kyivstar, the Come Back Alive Foundation is raising UAH 175 million to equip 146 sapper teams of the Armed Forces Support Force.

The sappers of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are operating both in the already liberated territories and in the areas where active hostilities with Russian invaders are taking place.
