Ukrainian Security Service detains Russian Agent in Odesa

The Security Service of Ukraine reported on this on its website. The Russian woman agent's main targets were the locations of the Defense Forces of Ukraine and logistics hubs for Ukrainian grain exports near the Black Sea. She passed this information on to Russian intelligence services, which were preparing attacks using missiles and kamikaze drones against military targets and critical infrastructure in the region.

It was established that the suspect is a resident of the village of Prymorske, Odesa region. The name and surname of the detainee have not been disclosed. According to the investigation, she communicated with the aggressor with the help of her son, who lives in Russia and is in contact with enemy special services.

During the raid, the detainee's cell phone, which she used to take photos and videos to transmit them to the Russians, was confiscated. The investigation is ongoing, and the detainee is currently in custody. She faces up to 12 years in prison.

The counter-sabotage operation was carried out by the SSU officers in Cherkasy and Odesa regions under the proceedings supervision of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office. As Militarnyi previously reported, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a Russian agent of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (GRU), who was involved in adjusting the strike on Kharkiv on October 6, 2023. The SSU cyber specialists managed to expose a Russian GRU agent who was using a messenger app to transmit the coordinates of so-called geo-referenced targets to the Russian Armed Forces.

After that, the Russian invaders attacked Kharkiv with the Iskander missile system, killing two civilians, including a 10-year-old child.
