IOC admits Russians and Belarusians to 2024 Olympics in neutral status
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has admitted individual athletes from Russia and Belarus to the 2024 Olympic Games in neutral status, and teams will not participate. For comparison, more than 60 Ukrainian athletes have already passed the selection process for the games. It is expected that the Ukrainian delegation will be approximately the same size as at the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020. Teams of athletes with a Russian or Belarusian passport will not be considered. Athletes who actively support the war will not be eligible to be entered or to compete." The symbols of Russia and Belarus will also be banned at the 2024 Olympic Games, and representatives of the authorities will not be invited.
