Russian attacks were most active on Avdiivka front today – General Staff report
A total of 82 clashes between Ukrainian and Russian forces occurred on Thursday, 14 December, with Ukrainian forces repelling the largest number of Russian assaults (36) on the Avdiivka front. Details: On the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian forces repelled 13 Russian assaults near Synkivka (Kharkiv Oblast), where Russian forces, supported by aircraft, attempted to break through the Ukrainian defences. On the Lyman front, Ukrainian forces repelled a Russian assault to the east of Terny (Donetsk Oblast).
On the Bakhmut front, Ukrainian forces repelled seven Russian assaults near Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka (Donetsk Oblast). On the Avdiivka front, aircraft-supported Russian forces made unsuccessful attempts to break through the Ukrainian defences. Ukrainian forces repelled 19 Russian assaults to the east of Novobakhmutivka and Avdiivka and 17 to the south of Sievierne, Nevelske and Pervomaiske (Donetsk Oblast).
On the Marinka front, Ukraine's Defence Forces are continuing to hold the Russians back near Novomykhailivka (Donetsk Oblast), where Russian forces carried out 11 aircraft-supported assaults on Ukrainian positions. Russian forces did not undertake offensive operations on the Shakhtarsk front. Ukrainian forces repelled nine Russian assaults on the Zaporizhzhia front, to the north of Pryiutne and to the west and northwest of Verbove (Zaporizhzhia Oblast).
Ukraine's Defence Forces are continuing to hold their positions on the left (east) bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson Oblast and to inflict fire damage on Russian positions.
