Zelenskyy dismisses head of Ternopil Oblast State Administration
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dismissed Volodymyr Trush, the recent head of Ternopil Oblast State Administration (OSA). Source: Presidential Decree No 859/2023 Quote: "Volodymyr Liubomyrovych Trush shall be dismissed from the post of the head of the Ternopil Oblast State Administration in accordance with his letter of resignation."

Background:
- At a meeting on 27 December, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the dismissal of Volodymyr Trush, Head of Ternopil OSA.
- On 26 June, Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office detained Mykhailo Holovko, then head of Ternopil Oblast Council, for accepting a bribe.
Reports also indicated that two deputy heads of the Ternopil Military and Civil Administration, Ihor Demianchuk and Ihor Haiduk, were detained.
- Investigators believe that they extorted almost UAH 1.8 million [roughly US£47,000] from the owner of a company for signing certificates of completion for the construction and repair of infrastructure facilities by a utility company of Ternopil Oblast Council.
