Ukraine’s Armed Forces repel Russian attacks near 10 settlements – General Staff report

Over the course of the past 24 hours, Russian attackers launched 4 missile and 60 air strikes as well as carried out 80 multiple-launch rocket system attacks. The attacks affected civilian infrastructure and the civilian population.
The threat of missile and aircraft attacks on critical infrastructure targets remains throughout Ukraine." Details: There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts.
There is no evidence that Russia is forming additional units to launch a new offensive. Some units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation keep being deployed in districts close to the border with Ukraine. On the Sivershchyna front, Russian forces carried out mortar attacks on the settlements of Tymonovychi, Karpovychi and Kostobobriv (Chernihiv Oblast), and Novovasylivka, Kindrativka, Vodolahy, Zapsillia, Yizdetske (Sumy Oblast).

On the Slobozhanshchyna front, Russian forces struck Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Strilecha, Hlyboke, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Volokhivka, Chuhunivka and Dvorichna in Kharkiv Oblast from mortars and artillery. On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts, Russian forces fired at the settlements of Kotliarivka, Krokhmalne, Berestove (Kharkiv Oblast), and Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, Ploshchanka, Chervonopopivka, Dibrova (Luhansk Oblast) from mortars, tanks, tubed and rocket artillery. On the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts, the Russians continue to conduct assault operations.
They deployed from mortars, tanks, tubed and rocket artillery to fire on the areas in and around the settlements of Verkhnokamianske, Berestove, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Hryhorivka, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Kurdiumivka, Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk Oblast. On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, Russian troops continued attacking the positions of Ukrainian forces and civilian infrastructure along the right bank of the Dnipro River with artillery. The General Staff confirmed there was damage to the Russian permanent base on 18 December in Chaplynka, Kherson Oblast. Information on the occupiers who were killed and wounded is being confirmed. The Ukrainian Air Force made 16 strikes on clusters of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment, as well as six strikes on their anti-aircraft missile systems positions in the past 24 hours.
Also, 2 Russian helicopters were shot down by Air Defence Forces yesterday.
Units of Ukraine's Rocket Forces and Artillery struck an ammunition storage point, three command posts, and three clusters of manpower belonging to the Russians.
