207 Ukrainian citizens returned from Russian captivity

This was reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on his social media. "We return against all odds. We remember everyone being in captivity.

Warriors and civilians. We have to get everyone back. We're working on it.

Now we have another cool work from the Ukrainian team. Budanov, Yermak, Usov, Maliuk, Klymenko are great," the president said in a statement. Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andrii Yermak said that among returned citizens there are soldiers of Armed Forces, National Guard, National Police and State Border Guard Service.

Among them are many defenders of Mariupol, the military who were on Azovstal, Zmiinyi Island, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Kherson and Sumy directions.

"I am grateful to the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War for their work. We have a big mission, many more of our people remain in captivity, we are working to ensure their return home," Yermak said in a statement.

The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War detailed the information announced by the state leadership. Among the rescued servicemen are 95 representatives of Armed Forces of Ukraine, 56 National Guardsmen, 26 border guards, 29 Territorial Defense Force soldiers and one representative of the National Police of Ukraine.

180 defenders returning home - from private and sergeant personnel, another 27 are officers. At least 36 of them have injuries or serious illnesses.

The oldest of the dismissed Defenders was already 61 years old, and the youngest will soon be 21.

It is worth recalling that the largest exchange of prisoners of war during the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war took place on January 3.

230 Ukrainian citizens returned: 213 soldiers and sergeants, 11 officers and 6 civilians.

Among them, 130 representatives of Armed Forces of Ukraine, including 14 TDF and 14 Navy servicemen, 55 from National Guard, 38 from State Border Guard and one police officer.
