Ukrainian intelligence officers captured a Russian fighter from the PMC Wagner in Sudan. This was reported by the Kyiv Post, which published a video of the interrogation. On the footage, purportedly, fighters from the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine are seen inspecting military transport with the bodies of killed Russian mercenaries.

The footage also shows a Ukrainian special forces soldier interrogating a Russian-speaking prisoner. During the conversation, the man admitted that he was part of PMC Wagner, and his task in Sudan was to overthrow the local authorities.

Two African prisoners are also seen next to him. They may have already been recruited by Russia in Sudan. Subsequently, the state project 'I Want to Live' announced the 'replenishment of the exchange fund from Sudan,' reposting a video from Kyiv Post

They did not confirm or deny that Ukrainian special forces captured PMC Wagner fighters in Sudan. However, they recalled that earlier, the head of defense intelligence, Kirill Budanov, warned that it would not be safe for Russian war criminals who participated in the invasion of Ukraine. Recall that on November 6, 2023, the Kyiv Post published a video showing, probably, the work of Ukrainian special forces destroying the militants of the Russian PMC Wagner in Sudan.

In September 2023, CNN wrote that Ukrainian intelligence agencies could be behind a series of drone strikes and a ground operation against the Wagner militants near the capital of Sudan.

Ukrainian intelligence services are likely responsible for attacks on pro-Kremlin militants in Africa, according to sources.

The attacks used DJI MAVIC 3 drones and FPV drones, which are popular among the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
