The press-service of the Brigade published this video on the Brigade's Youtube channel. The destruction of the armored vehicle was complex. Initially, the target was spotted by a drone, after which the gunners knocked it out with the first shot.

The disabled Typhoon-K armored vehicle was no longer capable of movement. However, for absolute certainty, it was additionally targeted by an FPV drone.

According to the operator of the FPV drone, to ensure the destruction of the vehicle, he executed two runs.

During the first run, the drone struck the rear of the vehicle, and during the second run, it ignited the fuel in the fuel tank. As a result of the second strike run, the vehicle caught fire. To destroy the armored vehicle, the gunners were firing from the American M101A1 105mm howitzer.

Howitzers of this type were transferred to Lithuania and debuted in Ukraine in November 2022. The howitzer was officially adopted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on August 28, 2023, and it is now known about its use by the 71st Jaeger Brigade.

The M101 howitzer was adopted in 1941 and was actively used by American forces until the 1980s.

Production of howitzers of this type took place from 1940 to 1953. As Militarnyi reported previously, Ukrainian paratroopers destroyed Russian armored vehicles that were advancing in the Marinka direction. Soldiers of the 79th Air Assault Brigade said that in one battle they destroyed five tanks and four enemy infantry fighting vehicles.

Nevertheless, Ukrainian intelligence noticed the advance of the Russian convoy in time, and the artillery of the paratroopers began to conduct strikes.
