Ukraine Introduces STABNET Mobile Medical Aid Post for Battlefield Care

Militarnyi reported about this. According to medical teams, today a large percentage of wounded soldiers die on the way to stationary medical aid posts. The developers of the STABNET project propose to solve this difficult task by deploying a mobile network of mobile medical aid posts on the front lines.

Light, mobile medical aid posts equipped with modern equipment should form a new emergency network close to the active combat areas.

This should, in addition to stationary medical aid posts, provide an opportunity to reduce the time of emergency assistance for the injured and therefore increase their chances of survival.

STABNET is 2.5 meters wide and 6 meters long and weighs only 3 tons. The developers note that such a fully equipped medical aid post costs EUR45,000. It has a number of advantages:

  • Mobility.

    Due to its lightweight, it can be easily towed by any all-wheel drive car or van.

  • The compact size allows it to be hidden as close to the frontline as possible.
  • The container can function autonomously due to the equipment on board (generators, water tank, bacterial disinfection system, and washing system).
  • With a total budget of EUR45,000, it is half the price of a resuscitation vehicle and 10-20 times cheaper than a mobile hospital container.

The goal of the STABNET project is to deploy at least 100 stabilizing containers.

At the same time, combat medics familiar with the submitted model had certain comments. In particular, because small-diameter wheels are not adapted for off-road travel, the container can become a target for Russian operators of FPV drones and gunners.

The container itself is not protected from bullets or debris. In addition, there are many comments on the container equipment and internal dimensions - it is too tight for the work of a surgeon and anesthesiologist. According to the Chief Surgeon of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Surgeon Colonel Kostiantyn Humenyuk, "this is a basic model that needs improvement."

Recall that Ukrainian specialists also developed a remotely controlled FoxTac platform for the evacuation of wounded soldiers.
