So-called 'elections' in parts of Ukraine, parts of Moldova, and parts of Georgia have violated international law," she said.
Baerbock also pointed out that many Russians demonstrated this weekend that they do not support the position of this "Russian president."
Background:
- The European Union has criticised the "presidential elections" in Russia as being held with numerous restrictions, without the participation of any real opposition, and with voting in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
- Several Eastern European countries and the UK have already stated that the Russian "elections" cannot be considered free and fair, and the UK Minister of Defence has compared Putin to the Soviet dictator Stalin.
