Yonhap reported on this. This was announced during a discussion of plans to support Ukraine by South Korea's chief diplomat at a meeting of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). First of all, Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul promised to continue to support Ukraine in this difficult time and noted that his country would provide a large financial package of humanitarian aid.

£12 million will also be allocated for the rehabilitation of wounded Ukrainian soldiers through the NATO Trust Fund for Assistance to Ukraine. It should be noted that a large financial aid package for Ukraine was announced in September 2023, during the G20 summit in New Delhi. "This will demonstrate our responsible role as a global pivotal power in leading the way to restore peace in Ukraine and lay the groundwork for our full participation in Ukraine's future reconstruction," Yun Suk-yol, President of South Korea, said during the G20 summit.

In addition to preparing a new financial package, South Korea also purchases and transfers various equipment for hospitals and demining territories to Ukraine. Militarnyi previously reported that in December 2023, the South Korean government transferred 10 Croatian robotic demining platforms from DOK-ING to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. It is reported that the equipment has arrived at its destination, where it will be distributed among the State Emergency Service units involved in the humanitarian demining of the de-occupied territory of Ukraine.
The Embassy expressed its sincere gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Korea for the provided equipment and hoped for further support.
