Local residents claim that several loud explosions were heard at once around 4:00 a.m. Immediately afterward, a fire broke out near the local military airfield. The 39th Helicopter Regiment of the 27th Mixed Aviation Division of the 4th Guards Air and Air Defence Forces Army and three aviation squadrons are stationed at the Dzhankoi military air base.
