Ukrainian troops eliminated a commander of the 59th Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces

The Ukrainian Air Force eliminated the commander of the 59th Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces during a missile strike on a military facility of the invaders in Luhansk. Militarnyi reported on this. The death of the Russian invader became known from the Russian media, which wrote about his funeral.
He was Colonel Pavel Kropotov, who had fought in Syria before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The Russian invader was killed as a result of a successful missile strike by Ukrainian Armed Forces aircraft on April 13 on the Luhansk Machine-Building Plant 100, which was used by the invaders for military purposes. Russian media outlets explicitly state that the commander of the 59th Brigade of the Russian Ground Forces (military unit 28331) was killed by a "British missile strike."

Colonel Kropotov was to be buried near the city of Rostov-on-Don, where his family lives. The invaders' units under his leadership were responsible for communication systems and means, thus ensuring the control of the invasion forces in the eastern sector. The explosions in Luhansk occurred in the afternoon of April 13, after which a column of smoke rose over the city.
Eyewitnesses reported at least two powerful explosions. At the same time, Russian propagandists immediately accused Ukraine of a missile strike.
Later, the network showed the moment of the "hit", and local media announced a possible strike on a machine-building plant used by the Russian invaders for military purposes.

Subsequently, the StratCom of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces had successfully hit the command post of the 'Center' grouping of the Russian invasion army.

The Planet Labs satellite recorded the aftermath of an air strike on the Luhansk Machine-Building Plant-100 used by the Russian invaders in Luhansk.
Satellite images show damage to at least one building at the plant.
The strike was carried out using Storm Shadow/SCALP-EG long-range air-to-ground air-launched cruise missiles.
