Zelenskyy to give speech in Bundestag next week

Details: On Tuesday, Zelenskyy will travel to Berlin, where he is expected to deliver a speech in the Bundestag.

Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung emphasised that while this is not Zelenskyy's first visit to Berlin since the war began, it will be the first time he personally addresses the Bundestag. The German MPs will have to convene for a special session for this.
Background:
- On 6 June, President Zelenskyy and his wife Olena arrived at Omaha Beach for the ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the D-Day in Normandy.
- On 7 June, Zelenskyy is expected to visit Paris.
- Zelenskyy will also meet with Sebastien Lecornu, French Minister of the Armed Forces, and they will visit the facilities of the KNDS defence group near Paris, where artillery ammunition is manufactured.
- The visit programme also includes an address by Zelenskyy to the National Assembly, the lower house of the French Parliament, and talks with its president, Yael Braun-Pivet, who visited Ukraine in March.
- Zelenskyy will attend the G7 conference in Italy from 13 to 15 June.
