Come Back Alive Foundation handed over 50 automatic grenade launchers for eight brigades of the Ukrainian Defense Forces

The Foundation announced this on social networks. This completes the implementation of the project "EYE FOR THE EYE 2. Let's arm the Territorial Defense Forces."

A fundraising for the purchase of mortars, grenade launchers and 12.7-mm heavy machine guns was launched in April 2013. "The other day we handed over the last 50 automatic grenade launchers to eight brigades of the Defense Forces. This means that thanks to you, ALL the weapons purchased under our project with the OKKO network of gas stations are already in the army!?" the foundation summarized the initiative.

In total, the goal of raising UAH 400 million was to acquire and transfer:

  • 200 large-caliber machine guns;
  • 300 82mm mortars;
  • 100 automatic 40mm grenade launchers.

And all of them are already in the troops. Some of these weapons are Ukrainian-made. In early April, the Come Back Alive Foundation completed another project for the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - Long Hands of the Territorial Defense.

Within the framework of the project, from April 2023 to February 2024, the following needs were purchased and transferred to the Territorial Defense Forces:

  • 186 120-mm mortars;
  • 93 pickups;
  • 434 Motorola radios;
  • 279 night vision devices (NVD);
  • 93 DJI Mavic 3 drones with additional batteries and consoles;
  • 248 tablets with an Armor app for gunners, memory cards and cases;
  • 93 uninterruptible power supplies;
  • 93 generators;
  • 31 meteo stations;
  • 93 monoculars with mesh and compass.

The project to create reconnaissance and strike complexes with 120mm mortars in the brigades was launched in December 2022. Fundraising was organized separately for each area. One set cost more than UAH 10 million.

In this way, the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were comprehensively strengthened, which improved the defensive capabilities of Ukrainian defenders.
