Number of combat clashes on contact line reaches 128 over one day – Ukraine's General Staff

The situation on the contact line remains difficult but under control. Details: The Russians launched three missile strikes (using six missiles), 56 air strikes (including 78 guided aerial missiles) and 419 strikes by kamikaze drones, fired 2932 times at the positions of our troops and settlements with artillery and other types of weapons.

On the Kharkiv front, the Russians attempted to assault the defensive lines near Vovchansk, Starytsia and Lyptsi six times. The situation is under the control of Ukrainian troops who, as of today, have killed 44 personnel and destroyed three artillery systems, an armoured combat vehicle, ten vehicles and 20 UAVs on this front. The Russians also suffered 78 injured personnel, and one of its air defence systems, two artillery systems, and four special vehicles were damaged.   

The Russians attacked Ukrainian positions on the Kupiansk front ten times. Five assaults near the cities of Berestove and Pishchane were successfully repelled.  Four combat clashes are continuing near Synkivka. Another attack continues near Berestove. 

On the Lyman front, Russian troops made 16 attempts to attack and break through Ukrainian defences near Hrekivka, Nevske, Makiivka and Terny. Three attacks are ongoing in the vicinity of Makiivka. The situation is under control.

The Russians conducted five assault attacks on the Siversk front.

The locations of these combat clashes are in the areas of Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamianske, Vyimka and Rozdolivka. All Russian attempts to break through were unsuccessful.  On the Kramatorsk front, the Ukrainian troops stopped five attacks by the Russians near Chasiv Yar, Hryhorivka and Andriivka.

Two attacks are still ongoing. On the Toretsk front, the Russians tried 14 times to break into our defensive lines near the settlements of Pivnichne, Pivdenne and New-York. The Ukrainian defence forces repelled 11 attacks but three are still ongoing.

According to preliminary estimates, the losses of the Russian side amount to more than 60 personnel and two artillery systems.   The Russians conduct the most intense attacks on the Pokrovsk front.  There have been 40 Russian assault operations here over the past day. Seven attacks near Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Novoselivka Persha and Yevhenivka are being repelled.

Russians are paying a heavy price for their attempts to advance on this front. The Russian losses in personnel since the beginning of the day are as follows: 99 personnel have been killed and 175 injured in action. Two artillery pieces, a mortar and eight vehicles have been destroyed.

Among the damaged equipment are two 2A65 Msta-B howitzers, two 120-mm mortars, an armoured combat vehicle and two vehicles. On the Kurakhove front, the Russians tried to advance 11 times in the areas of Netailove, Kostiantynivka, Krasnohorivka and Paraskoviivka, but failed. Two combat clashes are continuing near Neitalove. 

On the Vremivska front, nine attacks took place in the areas of Vodiane and Urozhaine. Five assaults are still ongoing. Ukrainian defence forces are keeping the situation under control.

Ukrainian troops repelled four Russian attacks on the Huliaipole front. Three of them have ended, and one is still ongoing.  On the Orikhove front, three of the Russian attempts to advance near Mala Tokmachka and Novoandriivka failed.

The defence forces are confidently holding back the onslaught of the Russian forces.

Special attention should be paid to the soldiers of the 66th Separate Mechanised Brigade named after Prince Mstyslav the Brave, who are bravely holding their positions and successfully repelling Russian attacks.
