Ukraine intensified strikes on Russia's Black Sea Fleet over the past year, UK intelligence reports

The frequency and effectiveness of Ukraine's strikes on Russia's Black Sea Fleet have significantly increased over the past year. Source: UK Defence Intelligence review dated 10 July, as reported by European Pravda Details: Open-source data indicates that between February 2022 and June 2024, Ukrainian forces damaged or destroyed 26 Russian Navy vessels operating in the Black Sea region.

Strikes were conducted across the northern part of the Black Sea region and the Sea of Azov, the review reads.

The Ukrainian General Staff officially reports 28 Russian ships and boats, as well as one submarine, being hit.

The UK intelligence has noted that over the past year, the frequency and level of damage caused by Ukrainian attacks in the Crimean Peninsula area have increased, with nearly two-thirds of the strikes occurring during this period.
