Asan Isenadzhyiev, paramedic from Azovstal steel plant released from Russian captivity

Paramedic Asan Isenadzyiev from Azovstal steel plant returned from the Russian captivity. This was reported by Tamila Tasheva, the representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The Crimean resident returned to Ukraine as part of another exchange of prisoners on 31 December 2022.

"Asan has returned to his native country, and soon he will certainly return home - to free Ukrainian Crimea!", wrote Tamila Tasheva.

Isenadzyiev is a Crimean Tatar, originally from Girei. Before the war, he worked in the ambulance. During the defence of Mariupol, the paramedic was on the Azovstal and provided assistance to the wounded.

In the spring of 2022, Asan posted a photo of his bloodied hands in the shape of a heart on his social network account and wrote:

"Tell my mother what I said: I have seen so much pain that I will never break."

One of the appeals was published in Turkish. "People are dying in our hands from the simple lack of antibiotics, from purulent wounds. We are constantly being bombarded from the air, sea and land.

Please follow the order to withdraw all people, including the army, from the territory of Azovstal. Stop this nightmare," wrote Isenadzyiev . Reminder: On December 31, 140 people returned to Ukraine during another round of prisoner swap: among them were 82 soldiers of the Armed Forces, 15 from Ukraine's Territorial Defence Forces, 22 from National Guard of Ukraine, 11 from the Navy and 10 from the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

There are 132 men and 8 women.
