They managed to target the Russian equipment due to FPV strike drones, which managed to keep the signal alive despite Russian electronic warfare systems. This battalion of unmanned systems is part of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade, which holds the front line in the Donetsk region. The drone operators managed to hit a lot of Russian D-20 152mm towed howitzers--eight units.

These D-20 howitzers were developed immediately after the end of World War II in the Soviet Union.

They are capable of hitting targets at a range of 17 kilometers. One of the Russian Msta-B 152mm towed howitzers, which has a range of 24 kilometers, was also hit by the FPV drone. The Russians are employing Msta-B howitzers for counter-battery fire, aiming to strike Ukrainian positions. One 2B9 "Vasylok" 82mm automatic mortar also came under Ukrainian attack.

This mortar has a maximum range of 4,270 meters with a 3.1 kg fragmentation mine.
