The press service of the 21st Brigade reported on this. Ukrainian-made 82-mm KBA-48M1 mortars have been delivered to the brigade's units and are already operating on the front lines against the Russian invaders. "During the Russian-Ukrainian war, mortars proved to be a powerful and effective infantry weapon that helps destroy Russian manpower and equipment in shelters and trenches and destroy enemy dugouts and trenches.
In the hands of experienced personnel, the KBA48-M1 is capable of sending three-kilogram "gifts" of 82 mm caliber at a distance of up to 3-4 kilometers," the military shared.

All specifications, including ballistics and rate of fire, remained unchanged. The Ukrainian industry has not mastered the production of artillery sights, so the new mortars are equipped with Western-made models. In addition to Soviet-caliber mines, the mortar can also use Western 81mm ammunition.
