Ihor Klymenko, Minister of Internal Affairs, announced this. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Office of Mine Action of the State Emergency Service is a coordinating body responsible for planning, monitoring, and practical implementation of mine action tasks. The Office will also carry out certification and quality control of mine action operators.

"The launch of the Mine Action Office is an important step in countering the mine threat in Ukraine. It will help not only to strengthen control over demining and coordination of this process but also to interact more effectively with citizens in the field of mine safety," Klymenko emphasized. In addition, he noted that over the past day alone, the Ministry of Internal Affairs sappers inspected more than 200 hectares of territory and destroyed almost 600 explosive devices.

All this activity was monitored in real time from the Office of Mine Action, where the means and forces allocated to a particular demining area were displayed. "Specialists monitor all this in real time on an interactive map - the number of forces and means involved, potentially contaminated and already cleared areas, etc.," the State Emergency Service noted.

It should be noted that today, Ukraine and its Western partners are working closely together to organize and support the demining of Ukraine's territory.

It was also reported that 156 thousand km2 of territory in Ukraine is potentially mined, with Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Kherson regions being the most mined.

Militarnyi previously reported that in August, the Defense Ministry's demining units cleared 17368.4 hectares of de-occupied territories from explosive devices, of which 17,308.65 hectares are agricultural land.

In the course of demining, 8,837 explosive devices were found and destroyed, bringing the total number of explosive devices since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion to 393,330.
