Ukrainian Special Forces targeted five Russian howitzers with HIMARS

The Special Operations Forces' operators targeted Russian towed howitzers with the HIMARS rocket system. The video of their destruction was published on the official page of the unit that carried out the targeting. During one of missions of the Special Forces of the 8th Regiment of the Ukrainian Special Operation Forces, a battery of Russian towed howitzers was discovered.

Thanks to aerial reconnaissance, coordinates of their location, as well as the location of the ammunition depot, were transmitted to the HIMARS crew.

The MSTA-B and D-20 howitzers were well camouflaged in the forest and were used by the enemy to fire at positions of Ukrainian defenders. In addition to destroying five trailed howitzers, the enemy's manpower, ammunition for these systems, and logistics were also destroyed. Enemy targets were hit in the Kursk region, where one of the bridges over the Seim River was also damaged.

This effective cooperation of the Special Operations Forces with the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine allows the Ukrainian military to advance deep into the Kursk region and inflict significant losses on the enemy.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that the Defense Forces had launched new strikes on crossings and hit the Osa anti-aircraft missile system in the Kursk region using high-precision weapons. The video shows strikes, allegedly with SDB precision-guided bombs on two pontoon crossings in the Kursk oblast and HIMARS rockets on the Osa air defense system.

After the destruction of all three bridges over the Seim River in the Kursk oblast near the settlements of Karyzh, Zvanoe and Glushkovo, Russian troops in the border area were sandwiched between the Defense Forces and the river.

Therefore, the only way to maintain logistics is to set up pontoon crossings, which are targets to attack.
