Unilateral ceasefire from Russia should not be taken seriously

The unilateral ceasefire during Christmas announced by Russia cannot and should not be taken seriously. Dmytro Kuleba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, wrote about this on Twitter, says European Pravda.  "President Zelenskyy has proposed a clear, ten-step Peace Formula.

Russia has been ignoring it and instead shelling Kherson on Christmas Eve, launching large-scale missile and drone strikes on New Year. Their current 'unilateral ceasefire' can not and should not be taken seriously", the message says.

President @ZelenskyyUa has proposed a clear Peace Formula of ten steps. Russia has been ignoring it and instead shelling Kherson on Christmas Eve, launching mass missile and drone strikes on New Year.

Their current "unilateral ceasefire" can not and should not be taken seriously.

The US State Department believes that Russia wants to use the announced Christmas ceasefire to rest its forces and regroup. Earlier, The President of the United States Joe Biden expressed scepticism in regards to the ceasefire that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered to be enforced during Christmas. It should be remembered that Annalena Berbock, the head of the German Foreign Ministry, said that Putin's decision to cease fire for Christmas does not indicate his desire to end the war.
