The Russians are resorting to artillery shelling and airstrikes using aerial bombs. Source: Ruslan Muzychuk, spokesman for the National Guard of Ukraine, on the air during the national joint 24/7 newscast, quoted by Army Inform
Quote: "The enemy continues to shell with artillery both the settlement of Selydove and the flanks. Our servicemen note that Russian aircraft are being used quite actively and densely. During the periods when airstrikes on certain areas and on certain sectors of the front continue, up to 8 to 10 aerial bombs can be dropped in an hour or two.

These are also attacks on the outskirts of Selydove and other settlements on the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove fronts. The enemy is trying to destroy the city itself and make certain areas unsuitable (for defence), as well as to identify our positions on the outskirts of the city itself in order to strike at them." Details: Muzychuk said that a large share of Russian attempts to advance were taking place on the flanks from the direction of Marynivka.
Many Russian military personnel are also concentrated there. The Russians are also trying to put pressure on the southern flanks of the settlement itself. In terms of attempts to enter the city, they are using assault techniques in some places.
This applies to the eastern flanks from the direction of Mykhailivka.
Muzychuk added that despite the powerful pressure of the Russians, the Ukrainian defence forces are holding their positions.
