It was initiated by the Pyongyang City Security Department of the Ministry of Public Security, and as part of this search, a drone was found in the Sopho district of Pyongyang, the capital of the DPRK.

According to the North Korean media outlet, relevant examinations were conducted, which proved that the drone belongs to the South Korean military and is a representative of compact reconnaissance UAVs.

As a reminder, the information about the alleged violation of North Korea's airspace was published by the Korean Central News Agency on October 13, 2024. At that time, it was reported that the South Korean reconnaissance drones had committed three violations of the DPRK airspace in early October, which took place on October 3, 10, and 11, 2024, and were spotted in the night sky over the DPRK.

According to the publication, the drone was dropping propaganda leaflets and called these flights a "dangerous provocation" that could escalate into an armed conflict and even war. It should be noted that the appearance of the reconnaissance drone resembles the new compact drones that have begun to enter service with the combat units of the South Korean army.

The situation on the Korean peninsula has deteriorated significantly over the past six months due to the DPRK's activities related to both the increased intensity of the ballistic and cruise missile test launches and cooperation with the Russian Federation.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that the Korean Central News Agency had published an information that North Korea was in a hurry to double its weapons production as Moscow was looking for ways to supply them for the war with Ukraine.

A source in North Korea said that the Central Military Commission (CMC) "issued emergency orders for the production and export of weapons in the fourth quarter to the Department of the Ministry of Defense, the Second Economic Committee and major defense industry enterprises through Order No.

61351 of October 1."

Accordingly, on October 2, the DPRK Ministry of Defense immediately began to implement the CEC's order to strengthen cooperation with Russia by promptly ensuring the total volume of the ammunition exports.
