The brigade's press service posted a video of the repulsed assault on its Telegram page. To try to capture the paratroopers' positions, the Russian troops brought in a significant number of armored vehicles and threw them into the battle. Most of this equipment was equipped with massive "grills" that, according to the enemy, were supposed to protect the equipment from shelling and FPV drones.

In total, the enemy deployed 23 armored vehicles, including 4 tanks and 19 armored personnel carriers, to the assault, which were supposed to land enemy infantry near the paratroopers' positions. Nevertheless, on the way to the positions, the 79th Brigade inflicted significant fire damage on the Russian armored vehicles and personnel transported for the assault. A total of 6 units of equipment were destroyed: 1 tank and 5 armored combat vehicles, including infantry.

"Our paratroopers once again organized a "warm" welcome for the invaders: 5 armored vehicles and 1 tank were destroyed. Another 3 armored personnel carriers and a tank were damaged," the brigade's press service said.

Due to the significant losses at the beginning of the assault, the enemy decided not to continue moving toward the paratroopers' positions, who were actively firing at Russian equipment with anti-tank weapons and FPV drones.

According to estimates, the enemy lost 24 soldiers, and another 20 were wounded of varying severity.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that the paratroopers of the 79th Air Assault Brigade had repelled an attack by the Russians in the Kurakhove sector.

At that time, the Russians tried to break through the Ukrainian positions, involving small groups of infantry supported by tanks and military with buggies.
