Photos of these combat vehicles as part of the brigade were posted on the unit's official Facebook page. The photos show the training of combat vehicle crews in such areas as driving, repair and maintenance, as well as firing from the main Rh202 20mm gun. To date, Marder infantry fighting vehicles have demonstrated good capabilities on the battlefield in Ukraine, and their use in Marine units will significantly increase the operational capabilities, firepower and protection of the military during transportation.

In addition to training crews, infantry also train with combat vehicles, practicing interaction, embarking, disembarking, and conducting joint assault operations. Such combat vehicles are non-typical for the Marines, but in the context of the war in Ukraine, the brigade's units are used as full-fledged mechanized units with appropriate heavy tracked vehicles. In total, Ukraine has received 130 Marder 1A3 infantry fighting vehicles from Germany, which have been repaired and modernized at Rheinmetall's facilities in Unterluss and Kassel, where the company's main facilities are located.
Among the non-typical units to which the infantry fighting vehicle was transferred are airborne assault troops, which are also equipped with this type of vehicle.

The Rh202 cannon is loaded with 20x139mm ammunition. The vehicle can carry 10 people, three of whom are crew members. The commander and gunner are in the turret, and the driver is in front of the hull on the left (as it moves).
The combat compartment is located in the middle part of the IFV hull.
