UK: Partner countries discuss training of Ukrainian military for 2025

Photo credits: General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine As part of Operation Interflex, the UK hosted an international partner conference dedicated to planning the training of the Ukrainian military for 2025.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this. The discussion was attended by the representatives of the Ground Operations Center, the defense attaches of ghe international partners, the international cooperation officers and the authorized representatives of the international partners. They could represent their countries' interests in terms of their future plans and participation in the Interflex training operation during 2025.

The General Staff says the conference was a platform to provide the real-time updates on the mission, discuss upcoming changes to the infantry basic course and leadership courses, and identify the parts of the mission that require additional assistance and cooperation from the international partners. The presence of all invited parties allowed the Interflex headquarters to plan training for 2025 and identify the areas for improved cooperation and effective work. The Ukraine's Defense Attache to the United Kingdom reported on the situation at the front and the necessary needs to improve the training of Ukrainian servicemen in the fight against the Russian aggressor.

Colonel Andy Boardman, Commander of Multinational Operation Interflex, spoke about the plans and opportunities to continue training the Ukrainians in the UK as part of the multinational operation.

The representatives of the partner countries participating in the Operation Interflex discussed the process of approval and the feasibility of the proposed changes, as well as the best ways to train the Ukrainian military in 2025. "The conclusion of the conference was unequivocal: the training of the Ukrainian military needs to be improved in accordance with the realities of modern warfare, and the partner countries are ready to help," the statement said.

The General Staff emphasizes that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are sincerely grateful to the Ukrainian international partners for the support, knowledge and experience they share with the Ukrainian military.
