The Russian media Astra reported on this. According to local residents, several drones attacked the city, one of which hit the territory of a military unit located within the city. Another drone was intercepted.

The Head of Dagestan and city officials confirmed the drone attack and said that an investigation into the incident was underway. Despite the statements of officials, local residents reported that the drone exploded directly on the ground, which is also confirmed by video footage taken at the scene.

It is worth noting that the distance from Kaspiysk to the state border of Ukraine is about 1500 km, which is a considerable distance for drones. Russian media reported that the drones involved in the attack were based on the civilian A-22 Foxbat aircraft, which has a range of about 3,000 kilometers. The updated video footage from local residents shows the moment of the strike more clearly, where the drone can be identified, and the location of the hit, namely the naval base where the ships of the Caspian flotilla are stationed.

Militarnyi previously reported that on the morning of Thursday, October 31, Russian invaders announced an attack by strike drones on the seaport in the temporarily occupied Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia region.

In connection with the attack, the invasion authorities declared a day off in the city.

Russian media also reported that the seaport was allegedly attacked by six drones moving from the sea.

However, local residents on social media claim that there were more drones.
