Weakening Ukraine not in Poland's vital interests – Polish PM
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has said that it is important to prevent Ukraine's weakening in view of Donald Trump's election as US president and possible "peace proposals". He said that everyone was aware that they were going through very difficult times, and that Poland was not in the epicentre of the potential crisis, but in a very tough place.

At the same time, he expressed concern about the possible reduction of the US presence in the region. "I wish Poland was not alone in any of these options," Tusk stressed, adding that he had no intention of escalating Poland's involvement in the war, but considered it crucial to guarantee Ukraine's security.
He stressed that no one wanted Ukraine to grow weak or surrender under any circumstances, as this would be a fundamental threat to Poland and Polish interests.
