Ukrainian tanks defeat invaders’ positions in Novooleksiivka

A fragment of the combat work of Ukrainian defenders was captured on a video posted by the Hostri Kartuzy unit of the National Guard of Ukraine in a Telegram. After hitting the houses with the invaders, the first tank released a smoke screen and began to withdraw. The Russians used an FPV drone to attack the second Ukrainian tank, which was standing on the cover.

However, according to the military, the Ukrainian tank made a deceptive maneuver after another shot and released a smoke screen. Under the cover of electronic warfare (EW), both Ukrainian tanks left the position, and the Russian FPV operator failed to complete the task.

OSINT researchers of the WarArchive Telegram channel discovered that it happened in Novooleksiivka in the Donetsk region. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on November 18, Ukrainian defenders fought off 38 assaults in the Pokrovsk sector in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promeniu, Lysivka, Petrivka, Pustynka, and Novooleksiivka, where the Russian invaders, with the support of aviation, tried to force the units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces out of their positions. Previously, the Hostri Kartuzy unit of the National Guard of Ukraine demonstrated a defeated Russian assault group near Novooleksiyivka, which included an infantry fighting vehicle with rare protection.
