North Korean Troops Spotted Fighting in Kharkiv Sector

North Korean troops fighting on the side of Russia have been spotted in the Kharkiv sector of the frontline. Nazariy Kishak, commander of a consolidated unit of the 153rd Mechanized Brigade, reported on this. "We can see that there are already [military] servicemen from the DPRK in our area.

I see that they are dividing into units, reinforcing their combat units and making a small accumulation on the front line," said Kishak. The invading forces are waiting for worsening weather, as they consider it the optimal time to launch an offensive. According to Kishak, the invaders continue "meat assaults" without using a large amount of heavy equipment.

"The only equipment they have left is a couple of burnt-out tanks and motorized tillers," the officer added. The presence of the North Korean military in the Kharkiv sector was also confirmed by Yevhen Romanov, spokesman for the Kharkiv Operational and Tactical Group. As previously reported, Russia supplied North Korea with air defense systems and missiles in exchange for sending North Korean troops to participate in the war against Ukraine.

The Russian Federation also supplies oil to the DPRK and provides various economic support, as well as possibly sharing military technologies.

The DPRK also received more than 1 million barrels of oil from Russia during the first 8 months of this year. Volodymyr Zelensky stated that more than 11,000 North Korean troops are on the territory of the Russian Federation.

According to the President, the further participation and number of DPRK troops in the war against Ukraine depends on how the international community will react.
