Polish farmers may block entire border with Ukraine in December

The cessation of the blockade of checkpoints on the border with Ukraine by Polish farmers is temporary, the protests may resume in December and will be much bigger. Source:  Roman Kondrov, one of the leaders of the strikers; Interfax-Ukraine news agency citing Polish news agency PAP Details: Agreements were reached during the talks, and the farmers have to submit their demands to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Poland until Tuesday 26 November, to which Czeslaw Siekierski promised to prepare a response by 10 December.

For their part, farmers expect, among other things, that the Polish government and Sejm will oppose the free trade agreement between the European Union and South America. Quote from Kondrow: "We will suspend the protest, but we will not give it up. And if the agreements are not fulfilled, we will return, but it will be a massive protest on the entire eastern border of Poland."

Background: The Polish side reported that local farmers planned to go on strike on the Medyka-Shehyni border crossing on 23 November.
