Photo: State Border Guard Service of Ukraine The units of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS) have received YPR-765 PRI infantry fighting vehicles manufactured by the Dutch company DAF.

The training process of the crews was published on the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine's page on the X. "Border guards are learning to 'speak' the language of the Erlikon anti-aircraft gun. Targets at a distance of a kilometer are no longer a problem.

Because the border guards are always ready to work without missing a beat!" the SBGS stated. These IFVs are equipped with the Swiss Oerlikon KBA B02 25mm automatic gun, which uses 25x137mm shells. In addition to the YPR-765 PRI, the shells are also used by the Ukrainian army on Bradley infantry fighting vehicles.

The EWS turret is equipped with both a day and night gunner's sight.

Although the main purpose of guns of this caliber is to fight lightly armored targets and infantry, with some luck they can even disable a tank. According to the military, these IFVs have high accuracy and can confidently hit targets at a distance of 2 km. However, it is rather inconvenient to maintain the vehicles by the crew alone.

Along with the cannon, the IFV is also equipped with a twin 7.62 mm FN MAG machine gun. The vehicle looks similar to the American M113 armored personnel carrier, which is not surprising, since it was created on the basis of the AIFV chassis, which in turn was created on the basis of the M113A1. The airborne compartment can accommodate seven infantrymen who load and exit the vehicle through a ramp.

Previously, these vehicles were used by the armies of the Netherlands and Belgium. The difference between the Dutch and Belgian vehicles is the placement of smoke grenade launchers. On the Dutch vehicles, a block of six launchers is mounted on the upper frontal part, while on the Belgian vehicles they are moved to the turret.
