Russia begins creating guardhouses for mobilized soldiers

The Russian military has begun to create guardhouses in their training centers to hold detainees and arrested mobilized soldiers. This was reported by the Russian media with reference to the military sources and deputies. Such premises will be equipped in military units that are responsible for training of mobilized Russian troops for the war against Ukraine.

Commanders of military units of the aggressor state have been instructed by the respective orders. "The commanders of the military units responsible for the training of mobilized servicemen were given appropriate instructions on the organization of equipment for the premises of the military unit for the detention of the servicemen who are being disciplined," said Russian General Maxim Ivanov, writes RBC-Ukraine.

Military personnel arrested for drunkenness, violence and other severe violations of discipline will be sent to special premises.

It is also likely that such a step was taken in order to reduce the number of cases of desertion and unauthorized abandonment of military units, which have become more frequent in the army of the aggressor state recently. It should be recalled that last month the Russian Ministry of Defense developed and published a draft decree of Putin on the creation of a field guardhouse, according to Ukrainian News. The decree proposes to allow the arrangement of guardhouses in civilian facilities, vans, containers and dugouts.

At the same time, it is forbidden to place military personnel in basement rooms where there are no windows and ventilation. The draft decree stipulates that the military be placed in "pits" and "tanks," but allegedly only if this contributes to the preservation of the life of soldiers.
