British Defence Minister shares dates of tanks arriving at Ukraine’s front
The tanks, which Great Britain promised to transfer to Ukraine, will arrive at the front by summer. Source: Defense Minister Ben Wallace, as reported by European Pravda with reference to Sky News The British government will send 14 Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine to help Kyiv fight Russian forces.
Answering a question in the parliament about when the tanks will arrive in Ukraine, Wallace said: "It'll be this side of the summer, or May - it'll be probably towards Easter time [April 9 - ed.]."
He said that for security reasons, he also could not share the training schedule for the Ukrainian military on British tanks. But he added that the training will begin with training how to drive vehicles individually, and then move on to combat operations as part of units. Earlier, British Deputy Defense Minister Alex Chalk expressed hope that Challenger 2 tanks will arrive in Ukraine at the end of March.
