Lithuania repaired Ukrainian PzH 2000 self-propelled guns

Lithuania has repaired the Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled artillery systems for Ukraine. This was announced by Arvydas Anusauskas, Minister of Defense of Lithuania. He noted that German self-propelled guns are already returning to the battlefield in Ukraine.

"The PzH 2000 repaired in Lithuania is returning to the battlefield in Ukraine. Good luck!," Anusauskas wrote on Twitter. The Minister published a photo of the transportation of one howitzer by road.

These German-made ACS, the Ukrainian military is actively using in the war against the Russian invaders.

The fact that Lithuania undertook to repair the PzH 2000 of Ukrainian forces became known in mid-September. Probably, self-propelled installations were repaired at the Lithuania Defense Services (LDS) enterprise. Due to the intensity of artillery fire on the Russian occupation forces, Ukrainian artillery systems require constant quality maintenance.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine received from Germany 10 PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery systems. Another 8 such 155mm ACS were transferred to the Netherlands.

Recently it became known that Germany will transfer additional weapons to Ukraine in the coming weeks. It will be MARS II MLRS and PzH 2000 ACS. Panzerhaubitze 2000 is a German self-propelled artillery system with an automatic charging system and a high level of automation of all systems.

These self-propelled guns use separate loading artillery rounds standard in the armies of NATO countries.

The gun barrel with rifled channel is 52 calibers long. The ammunition package consists of 60 shells and 228 modular propellant charges. The range of firing with standard ammunition reaches 30 km.
